Dear Madame Speaker:
I heard your comments today regarding being briefed about enhanced interrogation techniques. Your response, taken with those of others who were in the same briefing(s), lead me to conclude that you were either blatantly lying or that you are grossly incompetent. Given your demeanor in answering, I lean toward the former option. However, that does not necessarily preclude the latter, and neither one engenders confidence in your position as third in line to the presidency. I respectfully ask that you would put our great nation's wellbeing above your petty political ambitions and resign.

Disgusted by Evil
Here's an eloquent article by Daniel Pearl's dad, who calls out Jimmy Carter on his stomach-turning support for terrorist organizations. He very saliently states:

But somehow, barbarism, often cloaked in the language
of "resistance," has gained acceptance in the most elite
circles of our society. The words "war on terror" cannot
be uttered today without fear of offense. Civilized society,
so it seems, is so numbed by violence that it has lost its
gift to be disgusted by evil.

My First Attempt
Been Facebooking and Twittering (I'm photog357 there) for awhile, but this is my first foray into "traditional" blogging. It's a sign of the times, I think, that my reason for doing this is rooted in business rather than solely in personal interest--one of the agents I work with at WordServe wants me to take over posting updated content to our private client blog, so I guess I'm jumping in with both feet! Thanks for the nudge, Rachelle!
My interests are varied: my faith (evangelical Christianity), politics (I'm a center-right Republican), national security/military, reading, cooking, photography, scrapbooking, knitting, hiking, movies, and a few TV shows (24, The Unit, Friday Night Lights, The Office, Late Night with Craig Ferguson, Fox News Sunday, and occasionally This Week with George Stephanopoulos are current favorites) occupy most of my free time these days.
More later!
